The workshop was titled ”Tips and Tricks for Oral Surgery” and was held from 9 AM – 12 AM in Hall B, UP. More than 180 students had registered for this session, and a tea break and certificate was provided. In his lectures, Dr. Duke shared his wealth of knowledge and experience with the students.
He covered a wide range of topics, including the basics of oral surgery, common procedures, and tips and tricks for success. The students were eager to learn from Dr. Duke and they asked many questions.
After the lecture, students were invited to tour the new UP Health Center and the students were impressed by the new UP Health Center. They said that the facilities were state-of-the-art and that they would be proud to work in such a setting.
The workshop was a valuable learning experience for the students and it will help them to become better dentists. It is also a testament to UPs commitment to providing its students with the best possible education.

Dr Khemey is a graduate of IU, with several years of experience in both private and university dental clinics. She will be working alongside Dr Leng Eav, our existing Hospital Manager, and has a strong desire to see our hospital become better and better over time. She is looking forward to meeting all the students as they return to the hospital from their exams.
We are also pleased to have Dr Magnus Wilson back from the US again. Year 3 students finished their semester with an OSCE exam with 10 stations. At each station they had to perform an exercise such as CPD, reading a radiograph, putting of rubber dam, mixing GIC, assembling and placing a matrix band, taking a radiograph, putting on and taking on PPE, showing scaling technique, cutting a cavity and demonstrating how to extract a tooth. The students were assessed at each station by staff or senior dental students who were trained how to score the students.
Most of the students passed with flying colours – a few need to repeat one or two stations before being allowed to start seeing ;real; patients. Thanks for the course leader, Dr Horn Rithvitou, and his team for organizing this exercise.
