On April 18, 2025, the Faculty of Nursing and Midwifery at the University of Puthisastra conducted a pre-departure clinical study tour meeting with seven selected nursing students who will soon embark on an international academic journey.

The meeting was honored by the presence of Professor Chea Sin, Vice President of Academic Affairs, and Mrs. Tun Sreypeov, Dean of the Faculty of Nursing and Midwifery.

Professor Chea Sin delivered a motivational keynote message, emphasizing the value of international exposure in higher education. He shared that studying abroad not only opens students’ minds to new ideas and environments but also fosters maturity and personal growth. “We must go,” he stated, encouraging students to embrace this opportunity fully.

He also noted that many students return from such experiences inspired to pursue postgraduate education, often becoming lecturers or future faculty members—a crucial contribution to Cambodia’s growing need for qualified human resources. He highlighted that students will also gain soft skills, which are essential in their professional and academic lives.

Mrs. Tun Sreypeov shared her own experiences of studying abroad, providing practical advice on how to adapt, take care of oneself, and make the most of the study experiences. Her message served to prepare and comfort the students, helping them set realistic expectations while encouraging them to grow both academically and personally.

To conclude the meeting, both key persons blessed the students with wishes for a safe and meaningful journey, expressing their hopes that this trip will be a transformative experience.
