Two medical students shared their own experiences about national entrance exam of health and Science faculty.
Student name Nam Vireak, a junior at University of Puthisastra mentioned that after finished grade 12, he came to Phnom Penh. He wanted to become a professional dentist. ‘ After finished grade 12, I came to Phnom Penh to find preparation classes and information related to University’ Student who comes from Takeo province told that both factors : his passion and supportive advice from relatives made him want to pursue in this field , therefore, he committed to pass entrance exam.
After that, he learnt more about the subjects that examination required and tried to search further information related to examination, finally he successfully passed the entrance exam. For the tips of studying, this student showed some tips in his studying:
- Managed the time well
- Not put too much pressure
- Tried to study hard and practice as much as you can
- Carefully checked about lessons and exercise in the text book of Ministry of Youth and Spot
- Before exam day came , you must trust in yourself and try your best , everything will be accomplished
Vireak seriously focused on the time before taking exam. Besides studying in preparation course, i tried my best to study hard as possible as I could.
Had been thinking for a little while, this student also mentioned about some tips for succeeding in entrance exam. ‘Personally, being well-prepared before entrance exam was very crucial but the during the exam was even more necessary. During the real exam, times flied so fast. If we did it carelessly, we couldn’t finish it on time since there were a lot of exercises to do.
Moreover, we needed to look each exercise carefully in order to avoid the confusion. In other word, we need to read each exercise’s instruction from one stage to one stage carefully. The most important part, you must do it as fast as we could in order to save time for doing difficult exercises in other sections.
Vireak also would like to give some suggestion to those who have just passed student ‘before deciding which university to involve in, all you need to do is find information related to that university first. After that, you need to set clear goal and make it in to action without delaying to tomorrow’.
There one phrase always inspires he to work harder is ‘if you are the rubbish, ask yourself Can it be recycled again?’’
Related to this sharing, student name Srean Bunsrong, presently is a senior at University of Puthisastra also raised similar experiences. The student who comes from Kompong Cham province also told that ‘I love dentistry major and always dream of becoming a professional dentist who can cure everyone’
I do love the environment here. Honestly, all lecturers and staffs are friendly, motivated, and paid highly attention to all student needs. This young student told it was quit hard for him to decide which University I should enroll in? After giving some suggestion, advices from his family and relatives as well as getting much information about University of Puthisastra, he’s strongly satisfied with his choice. This senior student also would like to send some messages to all students who have just passed grade 12 examinations:
Must set clear goal (Ask yourself what subject do I love? What will I choose to be in the future?
Highly committed in order to achieve ultimate goal
Collect and control all information in order to achieve ultimate goal
Trust in yourself
Decided which university that we absolutely want to study
Last but not least, there is one quote always inspires him to work even harder ‘You can do it, I also can do it. Just keep going not matter what happen’
