Part-Time Lecturer for Macroeconomics (FDC)

1.Position Summary
Due to the university’s ongoing expansion, we are recruiting a part-time lecturer for Macroeconomics. AFixed-Duration Contract (FDC) will be offered. Contracts may then be extended until the end of the academic year andpossibly beyond.
The Macroeconomic part-time lecturer is responsible for teaching and developing teaching materials for the Macroeconomics course. The ideal candidate should have a strong academic background in Economics, Finance, and Business and Management (with Economic focus) and experience teaching at the university level.
2.Duties & Responsibilities
The overall job description below outlines the main areas of responsibilities of the Employee:
- 3 hours per week, a total of 45 hours of Student Contact Hours (SCH) for the entire course. SCH for lecturers isagreed upon consultation with the Head of the Faculty
- Providing teaching for the students of the Bachelor of Arts in English, Business, and Entrepreneurship
- Preparation of lessons, exams, and assessments for both synchronous and asynchronous modes of delivery
3.Minimum Qualifications & Requirements:
Experience:
- Experience in teaching in higher education (preferred but not essential), or comparable context with students
- Experience in preparing lessons, exams, and other assessments
Education:
- BA/ BSC or equivalent certificate in Economics, Business, Finance, Entrepreneurship, or other related fields(essential)
- MA in Economics, Business, Finance, Public Policy, or other related fields (preferred)
- Valid TESOL/ TEFL Certificate or teaching qualification that is at least equivalent (essential)
