Phnom Penh, April 21, 2025 — The University of Puthisastra (UP) proudly hosted the Accreditation Certificate Handover Ceremony today, marking a significant milestone in its ongoing commitment to academic excellence and national standards in higher education.
Presided over by Professor Ian Rouse, President and Vice-Chancellor of UP, and Dr. Rath Chhang, Secretary-General of the Accreditation Committee of Cambodia (ACC), the ceremony officially recognized the university’s successful achievement of institutional accreditation by the ACC.
In his opening remarks, Professor Ian Rouse warmly welcomed attendees and expressed heartfelt appreciation for the collaborative efforts that led to this achievement. “At the University of Puthisastra, we view accreditation not as a destination, but as a continuous journey. The ACC’s guidance helps us improve, innovate, and better serve our students, our communities, and our country.” he stated.
Dr. Rath Chhang praised the University of Puthisastra for its strong commitment to excellence in education, research, and innovation, noting that its mission aligns closely with the Key Priorities of the Pentagonal Strategy adopted by the Royal Government of Cambodia. He highlighted the university’s focus on developing skilled human capital, enhancing science and technology, and strengthening health systems as vital contributions to national development goals.
The highlight of the ceremony was the formal presentation of the Accreditation Certificate by Dr. Rath Chhang to Professor Ian Rouse, followed by a token of appreciation ceremony and a group photo session.
This recognition affirms the University of Puthisastra’s reputation as a leading university in Cambodia dedicated to producing skilled graduates, advancing health sciences and technology, and upholding the highest academic and professional standards.
