UP represents Cambodia at World Education Conference
Professor Ian Findlay, UP President and Vice-Chancellor represented UP and Cambodia at the Global Education Summit 2023 held recently at Chandigarh University, India. More than 40 universities from 30 countries, including the UK, USA, Australia, Canada, and many others, participated in the summit. While 20 academic leaders are physically attending, 27 others *including UP) joined virtually. The summit discussed the Global South and addressed critical concerns and challenges that impact developing nations in Asia, Africa, and Latin America.
During the summit’s first day, discussions were held on topics such as ‘Global Collaborations in Higher Education’ for achieving ‘Sustainable Development Goals’. In addition to the summit, many universities formalised partnerships for collaborative research initiatives, student exchange programmes, and joint academic projects, paving the way for future global collaborations in education and research.
UP has already signed a MOU with Chandigarh University promoting student exchange and visits to India Professor Findlay discussed challenges and opportunities in Cambodia Higher Education. Enormous potential in Cambodia
